2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
As hunters we all know of the armies of guys that pull into an area the night before season and hunt a few days and go back home, generally without success. Then there are those of us that live the hunt year round. If we aren't hunting were studying maps, hanging stands, searching for shed antlers etc... It is a yearlong endeavor. We're all in.
Can you imagine how God could use us if our spiritual life was as intense as our hunting or fishing life? If we were all in for God? If we were "prepared in season and out of season", imagine what God could do through each of us.
God probably isn't going to call you to leave the outdoors, but He might. More likely God is calling you to give Him more passion, more dedication and more love for Him and His work than you do for anything and everything else in your life.
In Psalm 37:4 the writer tells us this...
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
There's a great promise in that verse. If we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. When our hearts align with His, our desires become His desires.
Go all in.
