There is a lot of fear in the world since the corona virus disrupted business as usual. Our Lord never promised us that tomorrow would always be better than today. What He did say to His disciples in John 16:33 was, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the World you shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” This is a reminder that the world has seen a lot of unpleasant challenges before now and also a reminder that Jesus is in control.
So regardless of how it all started, regardless that it appears some might be taking advantage of a health crises for political gain, regardless of the total health impact and financial setback, our Lord will have the last word.
As believers in Christ, it is our task to trust our Savior completely, and dispel fear with hope. After all, our days on earth are numbered (Psalm 90:10,12) and the best is yet to come (2 Timothy 4:7,8).
Paul said in Romans 15:13, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost”.
